IVF was originally meant for the patients with blocked fallopian tubes. Now the use of this technology is extended for patients with reduced sperm count (male factor), endometriosis, unexplained infertility. Patients with ovarian failure can make use of this by getting eggs donated. ICSI is useful in patients with severe oligospermia, immunological factors and in cases of IVF failures.
